Growing up in North Carolina, one of my favorite summer memories was once-a-month on Saturday afternoon dad would arrived home with a special treat for the family. Our local fire department would hold a fundraiser by barbequing chicken. As it turns out, we all have our passions. One of mine has been to recapture a small bit of those Saturday afternoons. The years have gone by but the tastes and aromas are something we can try to recapture – and that's what I’ve done.
